Using tools to create our own items 

During Unit 2, pupils in PYP 1 had the opportunity to learn about tools with Mr. Vladimir from the Design and Technology Department in Pinheiros. 

They talked about what they would like to create and which tools they would need to use to make the final product. 

Mr Vladimir prepared the material and came back this term to finish building the items with each class.

PYP 1 students had a chance to look at cave paintings from Lascaux and observe some of the earliest artworks known to mankind.They were  introduced to charcoal sticks and clay which they used to make their own drawings. Books and movies also helped them to find out more about the cave man and how they used to communicate.
